Faith Collins, Counseling Intern

IMG_1249.HEIC

Hi! My name is Faith Collins, and I am currently a graduate student in Naropa's Nature-Based Transpersonal Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I decided to pursue my masters after spending half a decade in the mental health field. In that time, I worked as a Behavioral Specialist (Recovery Coach) and Group Facilitator at an adult inpatient residential facility for eating disorders, as well as a field instructor in Wilderness Therapy with adolescents.

This work inspired me to help individuals reclaim their joy, either again or for the first time. I believe you are the expert in your own life, and I am here to help guide you into the life you want to live. I work with a wide range of challenges such as trauma, grief, depression, and relationships with self and others. I believe in tailoring therapy to the individual and their unique needs, wants, and styles. Some approaches I find impactful are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) (values work), Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) (relational work), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) (coping skills), Motivational Interviewing, and Nature-Based Therapy.

I view therapy as a relational space to explore what's working, what isn't, and to build tools for navigating life with greater ease. My style is direct, warm, and compassionate. The choice of a counselor is deeply personal, and I would be honored to embark on this journey with you.

If you’d like to work with Faith, please include that in your message.

While we can’t guarantee availability, we’ll do our best to accommodate your request with care.
